For external use only. Infants under 2 years and older people should only be treated in consultation with a doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Nix contains formaldehyde, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Nix contains butylhydroxytoluene, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis), or irritation to the eyes and mucous membranes.

Eczematous reactions should not be treated with corticosteroids before permethrin therapy, as this may worsen the patient’s scabies by impairing immune response against the mites. However, interactions between corticosteroids and Nix that would potentiate adverse effects or impair the efficacy of these treatments are not very likely.

In the case of hypersensitivity to chrysanthemums or other compositae, treatment should only be given if strictly indicated. In such cases treatment should be switched to a chemically different agent.
